Scholarships for excellent achievements
Several Jönköping University students received the Excellence Scholarship from the Jönköpings Borgarekassa och Bjuggska fonden on Tuesday 14 May.
The scholarship is awarded twice a year and gives students with particularly good study results the opportunity to study abroad. Johan Larsson (Programme Director for the civilekonom programme) gave the opening speech where he talked about the importance of being able to offer scholarships to students, as well as the extensive cooperation that JU has had with Bjuggska Fonden and Jönköpings Borgarekassa.
Camilla Elm (chairman of the foundation) then gave a presentation on the background to the foundation's origins and development. Then there was the awarding of scholarships where the students told about where they will go on exchange before it all ended with mingle and cake.
The Excellence Scholarship is sponsored by Jönköpings Borgarekassa och Bjuggska fonden, and it has been awarded to students since 2004.
