New honorary doctors appointed

The honorary doctors are:
Göran Koch is appointed honorary doctor at Jönköping University. Through his research he has provided dentists all over the world with important knowledge and contributed to putting the Institution of Odontology in Jönköping (OI) and School of Health Sciences on the map.
Deidre Nansen McCloskey is appointed honorary doctor at Jönköping University for her outstanding achievements as researcher in history, English, communication and national economics which have effected research all over the world, as well as for her important contribution to School of Education and Communication.
Chandra Reynold is appointed honorary doctor at Jönköping University for her outstanding achievements as researcher in quantitative genetics and cognitive ageing, as well as for her important contribution to research in gerontology at School of Health Sciences.
Dean Shepard is appointed honorary doctor at Jönköping University for internationally outstanding achievements as researcher in entrepreneurship, as well as for his important contribution to the development of research in entrepreneurship at Jönköping International Business School.
Doru Stefanescu is appointed honorary doctor at Jönköping University for internationally outstanding achievements as researcher in casting of components. His contributions have been important to research in casting at School of Engineering.
On Friday 28 September at 9:00 a.m.-12 noon the honorary doctors will hold short lectures for staff, students and public. The conferment of honorary doctors takes places during Jönköping University's Academic Ceremony on Saturday 29 September at 4:00 p.m. in Hammarskjöldsalen, Jönköping Concert Hall, Elmia. At the Academic Ceremony there will also be conferment of PhDs and inauguration of full professors.
