15 million SEK for research on rural development

Associate Professor Martin Andersson has been granted 15 million from the Swedish Research Council Formas to build up a research group on Regional Economics and Rural Development.

The purpose of the grant is to promote young, promising researchers who have the potential and ambition to be the research leaders of the future, by giving them the opportunity to build their own research teams with an international impact.

The grant amounts to three million SEK each year for five years, and should cover cost of post-doctoral positions, doctoral candidates and operating costs.
