Teaching and research at the School of Education and Communication aims at constantly adding new aspects to what we already know and open up fresh platforms for knowledge, interaction and communication.
Our research focuses on the conditions for education and communication. It spans the humanities, behavioural sciences, social sciences, theology, natural sciences and media and communication sciences. PhD programmes in learning and communication are also offered.
Our research takes place in five different research areas:
- CHILD - Children, Health, Intervention, Learning and Development
- Lifelong Learning
- Media and Communication Studies
- LPS - Learning Practices inside and outside School
A centre focuses on a certain area of research and development and aims at creating a dynamic platform for collaboration between disciplines, institutions and organisations in Sweden and globally.
The School of Education and Communication hosts one centre:
Encell - The National Centre for Lifelong Learning - has a government mandate to promote and conduct research on lifelong learning as well as disseminate knowledge about lifelong learning and adult education in partnerships and networks.
