Julia Grimm is an Assistant Professor in Business Administration with a focus on Sustainability.

Prior to joining JIBS, Julia was a postdoctoral researcher at Cambridge University, Judge Business School in the Organization Theory and Information Systems Research Group and at VU Amsterdam at the Department of Environmental Policy Analysis. She has also been a visiting researcher at Stockholm University and Zürich University.

Julia has earned her PhD from the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg in February 2019. Since 2017, she has taken on different guest lectures in the area of Applied Business Ethics at the University of Applied Sciences Konstanz, the University of Applied Sciences Augsburg and the Leuphana University amongst others.

Julia has a background in organization and management studies and qualitative research methods. Her primary interests include phenomena such as transnational governance, legitimacy, paradoxes, framing and social movements. She has worked with empirical contexts such as global supply chains, tax avoidance and energy transformation.
