Profile
Susanne Hertz is Professor of Business Administration (specialization in logistics and supply chain management) at Jönköping International Business School (JIBS), Sweden. Her research field includes supply chains integration, dynamics of alliances in supply chains, change processes in supply chains, logistics providers and dynamics of logistics networks and market restructuring of logistics industry. In her earlier career she has spent over a decade in logistics industry on managing positions mainly in marketing and strategic planning. She is well known for her research in supply chain integration, alliances and its restructuring of the markets and domino effects.
She is a Member of the steering committee of goods transportation at the Board of Communication Research. She is also on the editorial board of: Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management; Journal of Services and Operations Management; and European Business review.
Her research appears in: Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing; Journal of Scandinavian Management; Journal of Supply Chain Management; The Journal of Customer Behavior; International Journal of Logistics- Research and application;and Journal of Business to Business Marketing among others.
Research Interests and Qualifications
Hertz´s research interests include: supply chain integration, dynamics of alliances and networks, market restructuring, market changes and growth of SMEs. Her research is mainly qualitative and longitudinal and the focus on changing processes and dynamics.
