Climate Stories - Workshop on Digital Storytelling

What’s your relation to climate change? Are you an optimist or worried on what’s happening? Is your commitment coloured by your background? Is there a question that hasn’t been raised? Do you think we are doing enough to prevent it? What does the future look like?

This September you are invited to a workshop on Digital Storytelling, hosted by Ragnhild Larsson – the person behind one of Sweden’s most popular environmental podcasts Klimatpodden. She will guide you through how to create your own Climate Story where you interpret the changes happening around us.

The results will be a short film on 1-2 minutes on a subject you find interesting. Your film will be presented at the Jönköping University Sustainability Festival "Shape our Future" in October.

Welcome to the first Culture on Campus for this semester. We will meet James Dalton, a performer, storyteller and musician from New Jersey. He reached audiences the hard way:one person at a time, on stages and subway platforms, in living rooms and radio studios. Stomping his feet, banging on guitars, and making mandolins weep. Sharing secrets and laughs, mixing breathtaking vocals with exciting harmonica playing.

The day offers exciting meetings with researchers in different fields, and takes place on the same day throughout Europe. In collaboration with J&ouml;nk&ouml;ping Municipality and Region J&ouml;nk&ouml;ping, we carry out JU activities at the upper secondary schools around the county, but also two public activities: Science Caf&eacute; and Science After work.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Science Caf&eacute;</strong></p><p>During Science Caf&eacute; 5-6 researchers give a short popular science lecture and then discuss with the moderator and the audience</p><p>The activity is free and open to the public.
