    Vinnarna. On Thursday 3 October, there was a celebration for the five former students from Jönköping University (JU) who received the title Alumni of the Year 2024.. What they all have in common is that they have made significant contributions in their professional fields or have distinguished themselves through their deeds as individuals worthy of recognition.
  • Unique competition for high school students to attract young talent to family businesses


    Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) at Jönköping University is launching a new competition to attract young talent for family businesses in Jönköping County. The Family Entrepreneurship Schools Tournament is designed to help high school students in Jönköping develop skills and see family businesses as appealing employers. It's also meant to strengthen Jönköping's reputation as a hub for family businesses.
  • The platform AI JKPG launched at AI Day


    AI Day at Science Park Towers in Jönköping. Around 240 participants attended the AI Day at Science Park Towers in Jönköping on 1 October. One of the main attractions was Evelina Attilla, CEO of Wellstreet and one of the dragons in SVT's the Dragon's Den (Draknästet). Her best pitch tip is to dare."Attitude and mindset come before a good CV for me," says Evelina Anttila.During AI Day, the AI JKPG collaboration platform was launched, which will promote cooperation, strengthen expertise, drive innovation and contribute to sustainable development in AI in the Jönköping region.
  • Child of Holocaust survivors tells his story


    Abraham Dortheimer Abraham Dortheimer, the son of two Holocaust survivors, hosted the School of Education and Communication (HLK) at Jönköping University (JU) On Tuesday 1 October. Abraham was born in Jönköping and has come back to Sweden from the US to find the missing pieces of the puzzle about his parents.
  • EULiST's Chair visited JU


    On 30 September, Jönköping University (JU) received a visit from Ladislav Janíček, Chair of the EULiST Governing Board and President of Brno University of Technology (BUT) in the Czech Republic. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen the ties within the EULiST and discuss future possibilities for co-operation, both between JU and BUT as well as within EULiST.
  • Jönköping University participates in Climate Week


    This year's Climate Week (Klimatveckan ) will be held between 14-20 October throughout Jönköping County. The theme of this year's week is “Climate smart and robust - a sustainable future together.” Jönköping University (JU) is contributing by organizing two events, one on cars, electrification and sustainable manufacturing, and the other on success factors for climate collaboration to work.
  • Students put on a light show in Jönköping


    September Lights in Jönköping. A lot of people came to experience September Lights in central Jönköping on the evening of 28 September. The lighting event was organized by students studying the Lighting Design and Technology programme at the School of Engineering (JTH) at Jönköping University (JU) together with Jönköping Municipality.
  • Students compete in innovation for health and well-being


    About 150 students participated in the Impact Challenge competition at Jönköping University (JU) 25-27 September. The task was to develop and present the best business idea in the field of health and well-being. The winners were rewarded with a prize cheque of SEK 15,000 from the Growth Foundation (Tillväxtstiftelsen).
  • JU attended international conference in Toulouse


    On 17-20 September, Jönköping University (JU) participated in the European Association for International Education (EAIE) conference in Toulouse, France. This year's theme, En Route, means on the way and characterized seminars and workshops. Next year, JU is one of the hosts when EAIE takes place in Gothenburg 9-12 September with the theme GO-Create .
  • Sleep deprivation in young people a growing problem
